The Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) is authorized under the Law on Communications to develop and implement a general numbering plan for the communications network. The CRC is responsible for regulating the following numbering categories as outlined in the General Numbering Plan for Communications Networks:
• National Numbering
• Prefix Numbering
• Special Numbering
• Fixed-Line Service Numbering
• Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Service Numbering
• Mobile Service Numbering
The CRC also issues registration certificates for certain types of special numbering. As stipulated in the General Numbering Plan for Communications Networks, special numbering is classified by its intended purpose as follows:
