Radio frequency regulation and monitoring department


  • To approve requirements for the license to use radio frequency and monitor the implementation;
  • To approve technical terms to confirm radio equipments and to conduct analysis and inspection;
  • To keep record of state general registration for distribution of radio frequency;
  • To research and define needs, requirements of radio wave band for specific purpose, under cooperation with relevant organization;
  • To research radio equipment, radio frequency demand and its price, to organize radio wave distribution, electric and magnetic arrangement and its calculation method, as well as the research;
  • To distribute the radio frequency band according to the National radio frequency allocation table;
  • The following monitoring and inspections will be conducted in order to implement the Provisions 9.1.10 of the Law on Communications of Mongolia and Article 20 of the Law on Radio wave of Mongolia;
  • To define and analyze distribution and location of radio equipment, to monitor and confirm how it fills the technical and operational standards and norm requirements and to be involved in national radio wave control;
  • To detect illegal users and stop their operations in order to protect rights of radio wave users, to measure and inspect imported radio equipment against international and national standards;
  • To record noise and sound from radio equipment in order to prove that radio wave distribution is violating laws, resolutions and decisions of authorized organizations, to analyze, inspect and draw conclusion on it;
  • To do measuring and coordination according to the customers’ complaints.
